Botanical Art. Sculptural wooden blooms, precision-cut and hand-finished, designed and made in Cheshire.

Our biggest piece: eight blooms and five stems of foliage, composed by hand into one graphic interpretation of nature. Bold from across the room, with more to see up close.

Smooth pale maple domes, matte faceted colour framed by toasted edges. Pride of place on the mantel, console or the shelf you keep glancing at.

One bloom is a cluster of smaller flowers on fine wire, so it has a satisfying jiggle. That part is entirely on purpose.

Arrives ready to arrange in a vase of your own, so the vessel is yours to choose (we'd suggest 20 to 24cm).

  • 4 wood-turned maple blooms
  • 4 poplar blooms
  • 5 foliage sprigs
    [Vase not included]

Materials: FSC-certified poplar and maple, bamboo, coated wire, low-VOC paint, water-based varnish, and a beeswax and carnauba wax blend. Maple markings vary with the grain of each piece

Styling at home

Best displayed in a vase 20 to 24cm tall.

Fill three-quarters with dry rice or sand to hold the stems.

Position the maple blooms in the centre, then add poplar and foliage around them. The poplar and foliage sit on posable stems, so the shape is yours to set.

Care: dust or wipe with a soft, dry cloth, and keep out of strong, direct sun.

Chunky & Sculptural

H50cm tall and W45cm across, so roughly the scale of a table lamp. The turned maple blooms are 20mm thick & satisfyingly weighty. Big enough to anchor a mantel, a console or a wide shelf, and still be the thing your eye goes to from across the room.

"it's hard to find genuinely unique home decor items. The way the flowers and leaves are assembled - each one is honestly a work of art" - Jessica Disley

Art meets engineering

Every piece begins as a mood board and a loose sketch in the studio. Saturated colour is rolled onto wood, then precision-cut and shaped with a mix of laser, CNC and lathe. Some parts are waxed and buffed, others go straight to assembly, each fixed by hand. A single Statement piece comes together from 67 separate parts. (Yes, I've counted.)

Packed to arrive perfectly

Every piece travels in a box built for it: custom-made from 70% recycled FSC card, with a stem holder that grips each bloom so nothing shifts on the way. Recycled tissue, no plastic padding.

"You can't help but smile when you open up the box and see them for the first time." - Caroline Richmond

Hand Turned Maple

Four solid maple accents give our Statement Blooms their distinct weight and dimensional profile. Each is hand-turned on the lathe to create a smooth, domed back, then hand-waxed and buffed to a soft sheen. A beautiful play on texture, where pale, silky hardwood layers with the crisp, toasted edges of plywood.

Pair it with.

Blooms need something to stand in. Statement blooms sit best in anything 20–24cm with a wide neck. Use a vase from your favourite ceramicist or we have a tried and tested option below.

How big are the blooms?

Once in situe blooms are around H50cm tall and W45cm across, so roughly the scale of a table lamp. The turned maple blooms are 20mm thick and have smooth domed backs.

Bloom stems vary in length to enable you to create a multi height arrangement where every element is visible.

When will my blooms arrive?

You can see the current despatch time for each colour by clicking through the colour swatches on any product.

Please allow 24-48 hours for Royal Mail to deliver your Blooms on top of the despatch time stated.

Most pieces are made for you after ordering and send out within 1 week. I try to always keep one or two colours made up ready to send for the times when you just can't wait a week.

If you're working to a date and want to know if a particular item will arrive in time, email the studio and I'll let you know what's possible.

Will they look exactly like the photos?

The blooms and colours will all the same as the photos with the small differences that come with being made one at a time. The grain of the wood, the hand-finishing and the hand-assembly mean no two pieces are ever quite identical.

The way the blooms are arranged can make them look a little different too - stems can be splayed out to form a full arrangement like the pics or kept tall and narrow to fit in a smaller space.

Will the colours stay vibrant?

Like any piece of art, it's happiest out of strong, direct sun: the colours are lightfast and stay true, but bare wood will warm a little in bright daylight over time, so away from a sunny window keeps a piece closest to how it arrived.

How do I display my blooms?

1. Choose a vase or jug from your favourite ceramicist around 20-24cm tall. The mouth of the vase should be big enough to fit a number of wooden stems.

** If you need a vase we offer a simple origami one that can be added to your order and sent flat in the box with yout blooms **

2. Fill your vase 3/4 full with dry rice or sand. This adds ballast and holds blooms in the desired position.

3. Start by adding the maple blooms first by pushing the stems down firmly into the rice. Aim to position these in the centre at different heights so each one is visible.

4. Add wire stem blooms and foliage next to give your arrangement shape. The stems can be bent to different angles to suit.
